Need a fabulous Venue or Catering?
Wetlands Eatery is perfect if you need a modern, inviting venue for your private function, and/or Catering. The café can be hired for functions from 4 pm to 9 pm, or we can simply provide a catering service.

Wetlands Eatery is the sister café of INSITU Cafe on Opawa Road. The owner of both cafés – Jai, and our team here, bring the same drive for excellence in food, coffee, and welcoming service, to Wetlands Eatery.
We’re also mindful of customers’ dietary needs. For example, ask us about vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, and we have a range of non-dairy milk options.
Unique Wetland Views
A visit to Wetlands Eatery is a feast for the eyes in many ways: the café is blessed with sweeping views out across the Travis Wetland Nature Heritage Park (Ōruapaeroa-Travis Wetland).
Our café is directly opposite the wetlands, which has a public Walk accessible from Mairehau Road. The Travis Wetland Walk is an easy, flat (approx. 45 minutes to 1 hour) loop, suitable for all levels of fitness.
